With two degrees in music and over a decade of professional writing and gigging experience, I champion the idea that music theory is a “toolbox” for you to use instead of a “set of rules” that need to be followed.

I believe that music is at its strongest when it enhances the story that is being told, whether it be on stage, in an album, or in the background of a game or movie. I will teach you how you can use musical traditions seen throughout history (or break them intentionally!) to bring new emotions and ideas to your audience and yourself!

These theory lessons are not instrument based. As a proud multi-instrumentalist, we can discuss concepts and apply them to whichever instrument you feel the most comfortable with.
